Emotional Intelligence Tip of the Week
This week let's focus on being empathetic...
This week, I will practice listening with empathy (that is, the intellectual identification with or vicarious experiencing the feelings, thoughts, or attitudes of another, according to Dictionary.com). 
 
Listen to understand how the information someone is sharing with you impacts the speaker rather than listening from our own ego-centric perspective, which is how the information being shared impacts us, the listener. 

Empathy is looking at a shredded chicken salad from the chicken's perspective.
